Oh what a beautiful morning

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great week!

My week has been amazing! Not a whole lot actually happened this week, but I just feel really happy!

We had our interviews with the mission president this week. I love interviews with President Smith! He is such an inspired man and he truly does care about each one of us. Its like getting to talk to a amazing representative of Christ and there are plenty of times where I have felt like he has told me exactly what the Savior would tell me if he were there.

Other than interviews, it has just been hard work and diligence. We have worked pretty hard this week, but we were not able to find any more people who were ready to hear the gospel. That's okay though because I feel pretty good about the efforts we gave to the Lord!

We also did a lot of service this week. Most of it was planned activities such as helping someone move or volunteering at the humanitarian center, but there were some that were just unplanned right on the spot. We were driving by and this guy and his wife had a huge box that they were trying to move into their house. We stopped and asked if they wanted some help and then helped them carry a giant couch into their house. We also saw some ward members doing a service project for a lady and decided to stop and help them. You can't really go wrong when you are trying to serve those around you. Sure, it doesn't always give you someone new to teach, but it does help others come into Christ which is our real responsibility.

Kind of a short email this week, but not much else happened. I hope you all have a great week!

We Are As the Army of Helaman

Hello all! Work here with Elder Harper continues to move forward!!!

We had zone conference this week and one of the main points is on Goal Setting. It is so important for us to set realistic goals that also really challenge us. Elder Harper and I were all for this! We decided to set some pretty high goals with the mindset that we will be able to achieve them with our faith and hope and charity.

Charity was also had a big emphasis during zone conference. Charity is the pure love of Christ. When it says pure love, it is not talking about romantic love, it is talking about unconditional love. Love that is unchanging even when you make mistakes. This kind of charity does not mean that Jesus Christ is happy and wants us to make mistakes, but that he loves us enough to help us when we do.

This week has been really good with Elder Harper. We get along very well, have a lot of fun, and are able to do good work!

I hope you all have a great week!
